Sue & Simon Argo, seasoned bikers, look forward to welcoming you to their home, Les Lézards, in the tiny hamlet of St Hilaire, less than a kilometre off the N145 La Souterraine to Guéret road. This peaceful location is very convenient for anyone heading for the south of France and for Spain, as it is approximately half way down through France, about 5 - 6 hours from the Channel ports, so makes a great stopping point. This beautiful and unspoilt area is popular with bikers, hikers, house-hunters, photographers, fishermen and birdwatchers. But above all, the roads are magnificent for biking, with adrenalin-boosting twisties, fast straights and slow sweeping bends. So come and stay with us for a few days and we will endeavour to make your stay a relaxing and memorable one.

About us

In 2010, we decided to fast forward a dream to retire to France, resigned from our jobs, sold up, took a deep breath, bought an old house with cat attached and a few barns. We arrived in St Hilaire at the end of April 2011, with five motorbikes and a crazy idea to start a modest B & B business, helping fellow bikers to discover the joys of the open road in the beautiful, still largely undiscovered Creuse region of the Limousin. We can offer you our enthusiasm, comfortable beds, camaraderie, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. If you prefer to fly down we will collect you from Limoges airport and lend you a bike or two.
