Simon Argo,a seasoned biker, looks forward to welcoming you to his home, Les Lézards, in the tiny hamlet of St Hilaire, less than a kilometre off the N145 La Souterraine to Guéret road. This peaceful location is very convenient for anyone heading for the south of France and for Spain, as it is approximately half way down through France, about 5 - 6 hours from the Channel ports, so makes a great stopping point. This beautiful and unspoilt area is popular with bikers, hikers, house-hunters, photographers, fishermen and birdwatchers. But above all, the roads are magnificent for biking, with adrenalin-boosting twisties, fast straights and slow sweeping bends. So come and stay with for a few days and I will endeavour to make your stay a relaxing and memorable one.
In 2010, I decided to fast forward a dream to retire to France, resigned from my job, sold up, took a deep breath, bought an old house with cat attached and a few barns. I arrived in St Hilaire at the end of April 2011, with five motorbikes and a crazy idea to start a modest B & B business, helping fellow bikers to discover the joys of the open road in the beautiful, still largely undiscovered Creuse region of the Limousin. I can offer you enthusiasm, comfortable beds, camaraderie, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. You can ride alone or be shown round the area. I will tailor a trip to suit you if you tell me what you want. Ring me for a chat or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. A bientôt!
